TITANIUM BAR – GRADE 2/T40 – Diameter 65mm

To put it simply, grade 2 is "soft" compared to grade 5.

The mechanical breakage of grade 2 titanium (pure titanium) is slightly less than that of steel. 

On the other hand, grade 5 titanium (alloy of titanium + aluminum + vanadium) has a mechanical strength 3 times higher, far above steels and stainless steels… while retaining formidable corrosion resistance.

For competition or if you have high mechanical stresses, you need grade 5 titanium.

Each country/organization has its own standard.
Therefore: Grade 2 = T40 = DIN 3.7035 = TC2

The biggest difference is the surface finish of the titanium bar.

A titanium bar will have a smooth surface, while a titanium rod will have a rough texture.
Rods are often used as titanium welding rods.

The certificate is valid only for this diameter and grade, regardless of length.
